Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important. This policy explains how your data is handled within Bookify, an application developed for portfolio and personal study purposes.

      Data Minimalization: I do not store your personal data on
      any private servers. The only information visible to the developer is the
      user's email address within the Firebase Console, used exclusively to
      measure how many unique users are interacting with the application.
    

1. Data Storage and Usage

The app is designed to keep your data private and local:

Local Storage (SQLite): All your personal library data, bookcases, reading progress, and loan records are stored locally on your device. I have no access to this information.
Authentication (Firebase): We use Firebase for secure login (Google, Facebook, Apple). While the system records your email for authentication purposes, it is not used for marketing or shared with third parties.

2. Data Sharing

I do not sell, trade, or transfer your information. No personal data is collected or exported from the app for any commercial use.

3. Device Permissions

The app requests camera access only for scanning ISBN barcodes. Images are processed instantly for decoding and are never saved or uploaded to any server.

4. Changes to this Policy

As this is a study project, this policy may be updated as the application evolves. Any changes will be reflected on this page.
